It's summer, so

Even when I'm not doing anything, sweat is pouring off of me (；>_<；)

This year, because I'm selfish, in our house there's
No air conditioner! Only electric fans! (LOL)

I felt so sorry for these little ones that I gave them cold compresses...

I'm a touch-typing

Today after the meetings and things were over, I participated in a chat meeting with my fan club in my office.

This was the second time.

About ten people chatted but

if I could type faster I could talk more with everyone...sorry. (^_^;)

I'll try to learn to type faster for next time.

My typing technique (?) involves using the index fingers of both hands, looking at the keyboard, choosing keys as if they were bad guys, and hitting them really hard.

"Pow pow pow pow pow!"

It's "Fist of the North Star"'s Kenshirou's style. (LOL)

But actually, since I don't look at the keyboard,

"atatatatatatatatatatatata--ltu!!"

I end up doing things like typing in English characters. (T.T)

I'll do it again..."hidebu"! 1

In this way, I'll search for my own style and become a touch typing master.

immediately saw an airplane cloud trail drawn in the sky.

It's like a doodle in the sky.

I have a memory of writing a paper in elementary school that said "I want to try drawing in the big blue sky."

I was so free of heart. (^_-)

I haven't drawn any pictures lately.

I'm not good at drawing, but I like it.

When I was little, I would always draw pictures on the backs of papers and stuff when I was bored.

I still remember how happy I was when I received a gold star on my drawings in art class in elementary school.

Next time I'm free, maybe I should try drawing again.

Come to think of it, I don't really have any hobbies now besides music.

It's kind of lonely... (T.T)

That's why on my current profile it says that my hobby is "nightlife." (LOL)

So

I always wind up having to take a shower in my tub at home.

Today for some reason I wanted to take a hot bath for free in the middle of the night, so I heated up some water and got in.

Mmm...it felt good.

I got warm all over.

Baths are nice.

But my bathtub is small and narrow.

Hmm...since my shoulders were cold, I put my shoulders in.

When I did that, my knees came out.

When I put my knees in, my shoulders came out.

What kind of exercise is this??? (>_<)

I tried rolling my big body into a little ball and getting in so only my face stuck out.

JAM rehearsal

Today too

The more I rehearse, the greedier I get.

Once I've taken care of one task, I can see the next one.

That just keeps repeating.

Up until now, I've gotten into a lot of things besides music.

And I felt like I could get those things done by myself.

Music is the only thing that I can't comprehend, even now, no matter how much I do it.

I can't find the answers.

There's no end.

If I could understand it by myself, I might have quit singing a long time ago.

But, my singing ability still has a long way to go.

But it's okay if I keep singing. (^_^)v

I'm grateful that I can sing songs I love!

Today was our engineer Kondoh-chan's birthday. I owe a lot to her both solo and with JAM.

I have no umbrella

today it's raining and I have no umbrella..."

A singer I love, Yohsui Inoue, sang a song called "I Have No Umbrella."

Today, when I went to the convenience store, I had no umbrella!?

When I finished shopping and left the store, I reached out towards the umbrella stand but I had no umbrella.

I think maybe somebody took it by mistake.

It was a brand new plastic umbrella that I'd just bought when it was raining before.

Well, a plastic umbrella looks just like every other plastic umbrella.

They probably thought that it was theirs.

But, the two plastic umbrellas that were left in the umbrella stand were obviously worn out.

Hmm...

Was it on purpose?

Did they know they were committing a crime?

Left over was a worn-out umbrella and a more worn-out umbrella.

Well, which should I take home?

I was worried...

First thing in the morning, I went to Narita Airport with Kuriboh to see Jungle Cruz (LOL), Hikarudo Cruz, as he arrived in Japan.

The airplane arrived when it was supposed to.

Today's rehearsal studio was about a 20-minute walk from the nearest station.

You go through the shopping district but still...

It sucks. (>_<)

It wasn't just the walking that sucked.

There was so much temptation in the shopping district!

I heard an old lady's voice say "The fried sweet potatoes are delicious!" and I bought some without thinking...

I kept paying attention to the clothing stores.

There was a store selling the plastic models I used to like.

I went here...

And I went there...

Apparently, I like shopping districts.

Because in the city, you don't get much human contact.

Without knowing it, am I looking for human contact?

I'm jealous of the shopping districts in some cities.

Next time I move, I'll pick a city with a good shopping district.

Today on the radio

I left the house with plenty of time to spare.

I soon realized that I'd forgotten my wallet.

After that, while I was waiting at the bus stop, I realized that I'd forgotten the MP3 player I always carry.

I had time, so I went back to get it.

I went home and then went back to the bus stop.

Then the next bus came and as I was about to get on it, I realized that this time I'd forgotten my cell phone.

What the heck is going on...

If I don't have my phone, I'm in trouble.

I went back to get it.

So thanks to all that, I lost all of the time I had.

The innocence of that time...

An older student from my hometown contacted me to let me know that our friend passed away.

I can't believe it.

I simply can't believe it.

It was too soon.

The last time I saw her was on February 25 at the M.e. live I performed at HOOK in Sendai.

It was the first time we'd seen each other in awhile, and we both said, "You haven't changed!" and laughed embarrassedly.

She was one year older than I was.

She was a vocalist like me, so she was a good rival.

No, actually, I was competing with her, but it was one-sided.

At that time, no matter how much I struggled, I couldn't match you.

I regret that...every single day, I aimed to be like you.

But you had something that I couldn't get with hard work.

It was something that technique and experience couldn't make up for.

You had an intense aura.

You had endless light and warmth.

You were like the sun.

So there were always lots of people gathered around you.

Your smiling face made everybody happy.

Your warmth and light helped me grow.

Thanks to you, I learned hard work.

Thanks to you, I learned the importance of a smile.

Thanks to you, I sing like this now.

I really can't believe it.

I can't believe it.

I wanted you to hear me sing more, I wanted you to hear how much I've matured since then.

You were a legendary vocalist in our hometown and now you've actually become a legend.

I saw this annoying guy taking up two seats and talking really loudly on his cell phone.

So those people still exist...

The train wasn't that crowded, but there were people who were standing.

It was annoying.

But nobody said anything to him.

I was sitting right by him, so of course...

I pretended not to see him... (>_<)

The two old ladies sitting next to me looked like they were pretty angry about that guy's bad manners.

That's exactly right, I know what you're saying, old ladies! That's right! Whisper a little louder so that that guy can hear the nasty things you're saying about him!

Everyone in that car was nodding their heads to what to old ladies were saying.

Then, somebody's cellphone rang.

Geez, who is it this time?

"Hello? Oh, sorry! I'll be there in five minutes, ha ha ha, blah blah blah blah..."

...

The person who was talking on their phone louder than that annoying guy was one of those old ladies. (>_<)

It's like a comedy.

I received tea from Aki Misato-chan.

It's supposed to be "beauty-intensifying" Chinese tea.

Misato-chan says that a speciality shop has opened up in her neighborhood.

Niisan has been hooked on the stuff for a long time, though.

Chinese tea is pretty popular lately.

I don't have any tea-preparing tools, but you just put this "beauty-intesifying" tea into hot water.

Simple is best.

You don't just drink it, you can enjoy it with your eyes too.

Today, something sad happened.

We ordered food into the studio.

I ordered warm "Mountain Vegetable Yam Soba," and it was bigger than I expected. I was pretty happy to have a big helping of "Mountain Vegetable Yam Soba."

But, the main yam was under a bunch of broth, so when I finally broke through to the yam, my stomach was full and I couldn't eat it.

How...how...sad...

So, as a result, tonight's supper was "Mountain Vegetable Soba"... (>_<)

I'm making a vow right here to start eating from the yam next time.

Today is Good Meat Day.

That had nothing to do with the fact that I ate meat for lunch.

"Japanese Black Cattle Stew Lunch." 800 yen...

Isn't it cheap!?

After all, "good meat" isn't restricted to just the expensive kind... (^_^;)

Without disguising myself or looking dishonest, I think, (LOL) I ate some good meat.

This morning, I decided to ride my bicycle to the office and went outside.

But, it was too cold...

I almost decided not to take my bike, but I went back to my room and got my hat and gloves and bundled up, and then I left!

Ooh! That's better!

Or so I thought...

My face was cold.

I forgot my mask...

I thought my face was going to freeze, so while racing along on my bike I kept opening and closing my mouth really fast.

Thanks to that, my face didn't freeze after all. (LOL)

But, the people who saw me probably thought that with my mouth going like that, I looked like a carp... (>_<)

It's going to get even colder.

What should I do when I ride my bike?

I know! Maybe I should get a ski mask so that only my eyes and mouth stick out? Yeah, I'll buy one!

Today was my radio show recording.

I remembered something that I had to do and I went to call my manager.

But I couldn't reach him...

and then, suddenly, I got a text message.

It was from my manager.

When I looked at it, there was a picture attached to it.

Huh!? Is someone secretly taking pictures of me!?

I was really surprised, and I was looking all around, and suddenly, next to me, a smiling and laughing guy appeared.

It was my manager...

Apparently, I was giving off an aura like I didn't want to be bothered, so he took a picture and sent it.

Yeah...I was kind of annoyed. (ーー゛)

Yesterday, on the way home from work, I went to Asagaya, where I promised that I would go to Ucchi's live.

I hadn't been to Asagaya in a long time.

I used to go hang out in Asagaya a lot because my friend lived there.

These past few years we've both been so busy that we haven't been able to see each other.

We talked on the phone sometimes but that's it.

He's from Myanmar.

All of a sudden, I can't contact him anymore.

I'm worried...

I met him 10 years ago.

He loves Japan, and he loves my songs, and he's a nice guy who always cheers me on.

I'm really worried...

Maybe it's a coincidence, but didn't a Japanese journalist get killed in a demonstration in Myanmar? After that happened, we completely lost content...

It's Culture Day. 1

So, I'm gonna try thinking about culture.
Hmmm...
If I think about culture really hard,
it makes my head hurt. (LOL)

So, I thought about some kind of easy parts of Japanese culture.

What are some things that are representative of Japanese culture?

"Tea ceremonies," "flower arranging," maybe things like that...

Of course, nowadays "anime" is a good representative of Japanese culture.

If you go to a foreign country, the popularity of Japanese anime is amazing!!

If you think about food culture,

"sushi," "tempura," "sukiyaki"...

I like all of those (^_^)v

A long time ago, a foreigner said,

"Why does Japan have so much delicious food?"

Their surprise left a strong impression on me.

Really.

I have a lot of likes and dislikes, so when I think about food culture, I think that it's good that I was born Japanese.

On the point of lifestyle culture, maybe there are a lot of foreigners who misunderstand it.

On the other hand, we probably misunderstand a lot about other countries...

Did you know that in some countries' textbooks, the introduction to Japanese culture writes about things like "harakiri," "kamikaze," and "topknot hairstyles"?! What era is that? I was shock-shock-g-shocked.... 2

What? My jokes are in the wrong era too? (>_<)

It also looks like the price of beer is going to go up...

Prices are going up but it's necessary for the products themselves...there's nothing we can do.
